InciSight is an informational cosmetic ingredient screening tool. It is not medical advice, does not diagnose or treat health conditions, and should not replace a clinician, pharmacist, dermatologist, allergist, or the product label.
Ingredient lists, product details, regulatory data, and AI-generated summaries can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify the product packaging and official source materials before making purchase, health, pregnancy, allergy, or safety decisions.
Source Attribution
BeautyFeeds.io
Licensed product catalog exports used for product names, brands, categories, and ingredient strings where available.
Raw API exports are kept private and are not redistributed. InciSight uses product data to generate processed ingredient analysis and should not be treated as a direct replacement feed for BeautyFeeds data.
PubChem / NCBI
Chemical identifiers, synonyms, and safety/toxicity context through PubChem PUG-REST and PUG-View.
PubChem is free to use, but its records come from many data contributors. Source-specific license notes and provenance should be preserved where practical.
NIH / NLM
Health and ingredient context used in conservative, informational ingredient explanations.
NIH, NLM, and NCBI do not endorse InciSight, its analyses, or any product recommendations.
EU CosIng / COSING
Cosmetic ingredient names, functions, and regulatory matching, including Annex II banned or restricted ingredient checks where available.
European Commission content is generally reusable under CC BY 4.0 unless otherwise indicated. InciSight modifies and combines source data for cosmetic screening.
Open Beauty Facts / Open Food Facts contributors
Optional ingredient synonym enrichment when explicitly enabled in the data pipeline.
Open Beauty Facts data is under the Open Database License. If this source is enabled, public use should preserve attribution and applicable ODbL adapted-database obligations.

Google Cloud Vision
OCR and logo detection for uploaded label or packaging images.
OpenAI API
AI-assisted chat and explanation generation using submitted questions and relevant product or ingredient context.
