How InciSight Handles Data

Data We Collect

• Account information, such as email address and hashed password credentials.
• Profile preferences, including skin type, ingredient preferences, and allergies or sensitivities you choose to enter.
• Scan inputs and results, including extracted text, matched ingredients, product scores, and scan metadata.
• Chat questions and relevant product or ingredient context needed to generate a response.
• Basic technical information such as session cookies, request metadata, and logs needed to run and secure the service.

How We Use Data

We use data to authenticate users, save profile preferences, scan labels, match ingredients, generate scores and explanations, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.

Uploaded images are sent to Google Cloud Vision for OCR and logo detection. InciSight does not intentionally store the uploaded image file after processing unless a future feature clearly says otherwise.

AI features may send your question and relevant product, ingredient, scan, allergy, or preference context to the OpenAI API. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default unless the API account owner opts in.

Service Providers

• Google Cloud Vision, when you upload an image for OCR or logo detection.
• OpenAI API, when AI chat or AI explanation features are enabled.
• Database, hosting, authentication, monitoring, and infrastructure providers needed to operate InciSight.

Your Choices

You can avoid optional AI or image features by not submitting chat questions or scan images. You can update profile preferences in the app. Before public launch, Poe Labs LLC should publish a dedicated support or privacy contact for account deletion and data access requests.
